Wi Fi hot spots are places you can access the Internet with a wireless nouns. They are typically found in university, coffee shops, public liberaries, etc. If you want to USE a hot spot you need a laptop near a wireless adapter, preferably 802.11G.

If you want to MAKE a hot spot you will need a nouns to the Internet via a modem connected to a wireless router.
