intuitively i wouldn't advice you to do that but since you've asked... step to properties of your local disc C:\ and select tools or somthn. it will warn you that it's a one step process and it's irreversible. you can other bind them together if you format the hard drive i guess.
What species of partitions? Windows? Do you mind wipe it clean? There are lots of partitioning programs that will do it in need destroying data, but if you don't mind notes loss you can use fdisk to do it. Just create a primary partition and 3 extended or logical partition.
Yup, sure you can. 4 partitions are the maximum we can do. How? Maybe you involve 3rd party software such as Partition Magic 8.0 from Symantec.
