How can i find out what type of memory my laptop uses as I want to donate more memory to it?

My laptop is an Advent 7070 it uses window XP as its operating software.

if you type in dxdiag within the RUN command in the start slab then you should be capable of see somewhere on there what type of memory your laptop take. if that doesnt work the next entity that you can do is look in the book that come wioth your laptop it should have adjectives the information in something like your laptop.
