I own a Dell Inspiron B120. I dropped it once. The CD ROM still works, but when I push the tray surrounded by, it still sticks out a little bit after it latch. I was wondering how thorny it is to take apart and adjust so that it won't stick out.
Answer:
Go online and check Dell Product Support for the B120. You should know how to find at least some service instructions here.
I don't know whether they'll have anything in the region of fixing the CD drive, and to be honest I consider you'd be better off to replace it. However, the online service information **should** hold something about shifting out the CD drive, so at tiniest you could order a replacement drive and install it yourself instead of sending the domestic device back to Dell. Good luck!
You can't really fix it to my experience.
